Welcome to Griffins Basketball.

We participate in the Albany Basketball Association's (ABA) summer competition which runs from October to March each year. This season we are home to 25 teams, both school aged and adults. Our 'home base' is at Great Southern Grammar school, Nanarup Road, Albany. Most (but not all) teams also take the opportunity to train at this venue.

The 2024/25 Season

For our players and volunteers, below is some helpful information for the season:

Need an additional player for a game or a player to 'play up'? Please follow ths procedure here.
To purchase playing shorts, visit the Griffins store here. Alternatively, you may like to try the Facebook page titled Great Southern Griffins Uniform Buy/Sell/Swap.
Have a concern or some feedback, or a complaint (or potential complaint) please contact our Member Protection Officer, Chris, on 0413 868790 or email basketball.vicechairperson@griffins.org.au. If the matter requires that a formal complaint needs to go to the ABA, we must follow their process and use their JotForm submission form (on the ABA website under Tribunal and Complaints). If the matter is particularly urgent, sensitive and Chris is not available, please contact Katrina (Chairperson) on 0405 124409 or Nanette (Teams Coordinator) on 0428 416592.
The ABA encourages all complaints to be directed through the team manager and club, but does understand there may be reasons on occasion where this may not occur.

Aussie Hoops

For players younger than Year two, we recommend the Aussie Hoops program. See here for more information. Come down and see the kids at 8.30 on Saturday mornings. Detail regarding the 24/25 program can be found on the ABA website here.
